15,122 Went shopping - Prophecy Complete

So, yeah...

For the last trade, we made a plan to head up to Mead Hall Games, so of course I had to check the list to see if they had anything I needed.  And of course they did, so this is what I picked up.

What the hell are you doing picking up these?  So I consider these required in any future Modern deck.  I really think Poison counter decks are a real thing, and will only grow with new sets coming out.  Phyrexian's are a real storyline, and I only think WOTC will build on them.  I think these will be a 5 year return card.  There is a chance that with Return to Zendikar that it is going to be reprinted, but I am betting that these will go up in price.

Modern pickups.  Most of these are the big ones of this buy, and all really needed cards.  Happy I got my playset of Sensei's Diving Top, and I was able to finish off Rings of Brighthearth.

Boom!  Prophecy complete!  For being the crappiest set of them all, it sure took a long time to get all these cards.

Scourge, and finished out my Undead Warchiefs.

I only need 9 more Odyssey cards!

Apocalypse with 2 left to go!!

And Legions, just wanted to point out that I only need 4 Seedborn Muse to finish this set.  I hope I can trade for some soon.

15,173 A trade that I am betting I am going to regret

So I got three cards off the priority list:

Rings of Brighthearth
Oblivion Stone
Horizon Canopy

And I also got 2 more closer a full set of Alara Reborn.

I did have to trade away a foil Flooded Strand from Khans of Tarkir, that can only go up in price and also 5 Polluted Deltas away.

All in all I am happy with my trade, even though I know in the long run I will have lost in this trade.

15,181 Incoming Trade

This was a first trade that I accepted, and it took a while to get.  There was a mistake and he had to buy some cards off of TCGPlayer to get me the correct cards.  I did trade away a Buy a Box foil Goblin Rabblemaster, so it was a win to my side.

15,190 Blood Moon got me...

So there was a massive price spike on mtgstock.com for Blood Moon.  So what do I do?  I proceed to eBay and Deckbox to see how many I can get in a single day...  Way not to follow the buyout and try and get them on the price increase.  Well lucky me, I was only able to get one, and I lost every one of the auctions on eBay.  Saved me a small fortune and I am happy I just set my top bid and never went back to re-bid on anything.

So here we go with some new adds:

Picked these up from a wonderful trader in Hawaii.  I did trade one of my Snapcasters Mages away, which I am somewhat kicking myself for considering the price went up $15 since I bought them for trading fodder, but I did get two of the cards on my priority list, so it seems to have worked.  And this guy was kind enough to send me 2 Undead Warchiefs from Scourge for free and they are going for over $3.50 right now, so all in all it was a win.

And if you were wondering, I did pull the Snapcaster Mages off my tradelist for a bit.  I just think that the price is going to keep going up for a while because they were not reprinted in MM15.

Blood Moon bitches!  So I have 4 Dark, and 4 Chronicals.  I was able to pick up an 8th Edition a while back, and since the price spike I thought I would try and pick up some more.  They jumped up above $60 each, so I am really going to have to get those sooner rather than later.  Considering my spending spree, I think I am just going to keep an eye out at LGSs to pick them up and not order them online.  That way it will let me play catch up with my Magic budget.  I was able to pick these up with some MM15 fodder I had, so again picking up that trading fodder is working.

And another fodder trade.  Picked up a Scars of Mirrodin - Mox Opal from Dreamers and really didn't plan on trading it, but figured if someone had some stuff I really needed I would trade it away.  I think it was on my tradelist for about 2 days before this trade showed up.  5 more cards and I am finished with Shards of Alara!

15,204 Incoming Trade

Got these two gems today.

Got this one for a Foil Remand, and some might say that the foil was better than this card, but considering that it was a double foil that I had, it was worth it in my book.

Got this one for 3 Modern Masters 2015 Lightning Bolts, so it was a win in my eyes.

15,206 Trade in

Got a trade in today.  It was the first trade from this specific trader, and I do have to say I was a bit cautious with this trade.  I picked up an Alpha Edition - Air Elemental.  I am not really keeping track of the ABU cards I need, but just happy to get one.

15,209 Modern Lands and bought some packs

So I went up to the Source to pick up a Dr.Who scarf but ended up looking at the sealed packs they had.  Ended up getting some Fifth Dawn, Mirrodin, and Guildpact.  I picked up two packs of each set and out of all the cards I did not need 8 of the cards.

Massive pickup with pulling 2 Serum Visions, and it was an extra bonus that I actually needed them.  When I opened the packs, I thought I did not need them, and was excited for the trading fodder, but when I checked the spreadsheet, it showed that I needed them, so I was still pretty excited.

I also picked up 2 Academy Ruins, but I made a mistake and one of them was Modern Masters so it went right into the trade binder.  I could have picked up 4 Dark Depths, but decided on just getting 3 based on the condition of one of them they had.
